We start in “Plaza de Oriente “visiting some surprising hidden and oldest places of Madrid, traveling to the Muslim times, who founded the city, while see the impressive “Palacio de Oriente” and “Madrid de los Austrias” in our way.

We continue enjoying this great walk surrounded by history that will take us to the Medieval Wall of Madrid, dated to the XI -XII Century, where you will be able to experience the spirit of that moment, being part of it, mixing with the spell-binding atmosphere of that ancient world that the layouts of the streets remind us. 

To finish this amazing route, it is time to relax and enjoy the best of both worlds, the ancient and the present, savouring remarkable Madrid wine with the help of a sommelier and a fabulous traditional Tapa, officially declared "Best Tapa of Madrid 2023", in one of the greatest wine bars of the city.

Madrid is a beautiful city full of rich history !! We begin this guided tour of Madrid's highlights, with a proffesional guide, in the great artery of the Paseo de la Castellana, where a stream used to flow, and nowadays you can find representative buildings of the most modern Madrid, such as the Picasso Tower, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and the four towers of Madrid.

We will return along the same road to appreciate in more detail other important administrative buildings and palatial houses, until we reach the famous Fuente de la Cibeles, also known for being a place of football celebrations, to turn to the Gran Vía, the most important commercial and entertainment street of the city, with a lot of history and fun on its rooftops that we will discover!!

After the Gran Vía, we will pass through private palaces, Temple of Debod, Plaza España, Senate, until we reach the oldest Madrid, appearing in front of us the most scenic view of the majestic Royal Palace, another time El Alcázar, where Madrid was founded by Arabs . Beside it is the impressive Cathedral of La Almudena.

We continue through the network of charming streets, an area located in the heart of the old Christian wall, We will see how the very layout of the streets evokes the old Madrid. We will stop at the Plaza de la Villa, considered the oldest square, and where the Madrid City Hall was located until 2007.

We will approach the Plaza Mayor, formerly known as Plaza del Arrabal, as it is located outside the Christian wall, and we will see the oldest restaurant in the world, according to the Guinness Book of Records, Casa Botín, currently Sobrino de Botín.

Arriving to Puerta del Sol, and going down Calle Atocha, we will Take a Break , in a great winebar, frequented by locals ,where we will have the opportunity to indulge in some of the most exquisite wines of Madrid, coupled with what is officially considered "Best Tapa" from Madrid.

After this break, we will head towards the Glorieta de Atocha, located at the last fence of the city, with the spectacular Renaissance building of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the famous Reina Sofia Art Centre, we will go up Alfonso XII street, adjacent to the Retiro Park, with the spectacular elegance of its palaces, of eclectic design, ending at the Puerta de Alcala, commemorating the entrance of King Carlos III, known as the best Mayor of Madrid. Afterwards, we will take a stroll through the most luxurious streets of Madrid, Velázquez, Ortega y Gasset, Serrano...

After this luxury stroll, we will head to the Boulevard that Carlos III turned into one of the most beautiful promenades in Europe, the Paseo del Prado, currently housing Madrid's Art Triangle, with the famous Prado Museum, Thyssen Museum and the already seen Reina Sofia Museum, as well as the Museum of Living Plants of the Royal Botanical Garden, the Bank of Spain, the Cibeles Palace among many other palaces and fountains.

We will finish this wonderful introductory tour of this pleasant city, known for being "traveller friendly".
